Job DescriptionOur canine group, under Allied Universal® Enhanced Protection Services, is hiring a Kennel Technician. The Kennel Technician is responsible for maintaining canine kennels and food preparation areas personnel and a wide variety of other duties as directed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the logistical support for transporting personnel and canines to and from a pre-determined location\Drive and transport personnel including canines in and around Northern Virginia regionProvide Log ReportsProvide Incident ReportsAssign with minor maintenance, cleaning, and inventoryFeed, walk, exercise, and bath canines as needed in our careAdminister medications as indicated by veterinarian personnelBring canines to and from the kennel during before, during and after trainingClean up after canines both inside the facility and outside, and clean canine kennelsMaintain the training and kennel facility as a whole by performing tasks including, but not limited to, sweeping/mopping floors, wiping counters, taking out trash, cleaning bathrooms, and checking equipment and suppliesAssist other staff members on occasion with such tasks as prepping training floors or food for caninesQUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GEDBe a U.S. CitizenPossess, or be able to obtain, a minimum Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) level clearanceValid driver’s licenseNo prior work experience requiredKnowledge of traffic and safety regulations, practices and procedures pertaining to motor vehicle operation, and passenger safety rulesAbility to read installation maps to determine the shortest and safest routeAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, while handling multiple tasks simultaneouslyAvailability on weekends and holidays to tend to kenneled canines

Pay starts at $22.00/hourly
Full-time and part-time availablility
