Our client, a leading technology solutions provider, is seeking a Development Lead to join their team. As a Kafka Development Lead, you will be part of the Application Development and Maintenance team supporting various engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Development Lead
**Location:** Addison, TX (Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days onsite)
**Pay Range:** Competitive based on experience
**What's the Job?**
+ Lead the development and maintenance of complex software requirements to achieve business goals.
+ Understand and manage the complete end-to-end architecture involving Kafka, DB2, IBM IIDR, and SingleStore.
+ Guide a team of engineers in application support work while also contributing as an individual contributor.
+ Ensure software meets functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements through rigorous testing and documentation.
+ Participate in the Agile development process, contributing to story refinement and requirement definition.
**What's Needed?**
+ 10+ years of industry experience with a strong background in Kafka development.
+ Hands-on experience with Kafka clusters, including writing producer/consumer code.
+ Familiarity with distributed Kafka connect clusters and data replication technologies.
+ Proficient in Java and experienced with RDBMS such as MemSQL, Oracle, and DB2.
+ Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools like Jira.
