Junior Staff Accountant - Pharma

Location: Princeton, NJ
Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000

About the Role

A leading pharmaceutical company in Princeton, NJ is seeking a detail‑oriented Junior Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations, month‑end close activities, and financial reporting within a regulated environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a developing accountant looking to build experience in pharma, corporate accounting, and ERP systems.

Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with journal entries, account coding, and general ledger maintenancePerform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and variance analysisSupport month‑end and year‑end close including accruals and adjusting entriesMaintain accurate financial records following GAAP and internal controlsSupport AP/AR teams with invoice coding, payment posting, and cash application when neededPrepare schedules for internal reporting and external auditorsAssist with expense report review and verificationCollaborate with procurement, finance, and compliance on documentation requirementsPerform data pulls and updates from ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred)Maintain detailed, audit‑ready files in accordance with pharma compliance standardsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field0-2 years of accounting experience (internships acceptable)Strong understanding of basic GAAP principlesExperience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)Strong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced, regulated environmentPreferred QualificationsPrior experience in pharma, biotech, medical device, or manufacturingExposure to SOX controls or audit processesFamiliarity with expense reporting tools (Concur, Workday, etc.)Why JoinOpportunity to grow within a top-tier pharmaceutical organizationExposure to complex accounting operations and compliance frameworksGreat long‑term stability and training in a highly valued industry
