We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Marsh. This role will be based in Toronto, Calgary, or Vancouver. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
This role will support the design, development, and deployment of SailPoint IdentityNow/IdentityIQ workflows, rules, and connectors while customizing modules to meet business needs. Collaborate with senior developers and IAM architects to implement identity governance solutions, troubleshoot issues, and integrate SailPoint with enterprise systems. Assist with testing, documentation, maintenance, and ensuring security and compliance standards are upheld.
We will count on you to:
Design, develop, and consume RESTful APIs using HTTP methods; manage API resources and handle HTTP status codes effectively.
Parse, generate, and manipulate JSON data; use tools like Postman and Swagger for API testing, documentation, and maintenance.
Troubleshoot and debug API integration issues to ensure smooth system communication.
Write efficient SQL queries including SELECT, WHERE, CRUD operations, and perform complex data retrieval with JOINs, subqueries, and aggregate functions.
Organize and summarize data using GROUP BY and ORDER BY clauses; work with databases like Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server.
Identify and resolve SQL query issues to maintain data integrity and optimize performance.
Utilize Java Collections and implement robust exception handling to build resilient applications; develop using Enterprise Java (Java EE).
Design and build web services and microservices architectures; follow secure coding practices to protect applications from vulnerabilities.
What you need to have:
Strong understanding of REST principles, HTTP protocol, and proficiency in working with JSON data format.
Experience with API testing and documentation tools such as Postman, Bruno, and Swagger, along with practical skills in debugging and resolving API issues.
Solid foundation in SQL querying and data manipulation, including intermediate to advanced techniques like JOINs and subqueries, with familiarity in major relational database systems.
Strong problem-solving skills related to database queries, performance tuning, and optimization.
Good knowledge of Java Collections Framework, exception handling, and hands-on experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, or Java EE technologies.
Understanding of microservices design principles, REST API development, and awareness of security best practices in software development.

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $94,600 to $141,800.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
