About this team

Raw Material Colourization Team - The Raw Materials Developer (Colour) is a technical expert who is passionate about executing seasonal and long range colour developments. They lead from a place of inquiry and apply reason and critical thinking to analyse and improve process and product offerings.


A day in the life Sends lab dip requests to vendors from Flex PLMSupports developer in seasonal colour feasibilityReviews lab dip colourfastness results to ensure ratings are acceptableKnowledgeable of all calendar deadlines and how they affect the overall business needsReviews and approves lab dips on all substrates to ensure max visual compliance to the colour standardWorks side by side with developer to support in balancing workload and business needsLearns and incorporates digital colour review to evaluate lab dipsUnderstands basic colour theory to solve colour issuesTracks lab dip data in Flex PLM and sends daily vendor comments


Qualifications:
1- 2 years of experience in colour related field & technical trainingPost-secondary education in fashion or textiles area of studyDigital colour technical knowledge: ability to measure and assess spectrophotometer readingsGood understanding of Datacolor and/or X-rite softwareExperience working in a PLM systemScore of 16 or better on Munsell Hue 100 TestTeam player and good understanding of apparel industry functionsStrong computer skills (Excel, Adobe Illustrator, PLM software, Microsoft office applications and Outlook); experience with colour tools and systemsKnowledge of product creation calendar timeline and able to work against deadlines
