Junior Lab Engineer – On-Site | Richardson, TX Are you passionate about networking, hands-on troubleshooting, and working with cutting-edge technology? Our client is seeking a Junior Lab Engineer to join a dynamic team that supports lab environments used globally by Technical Services. These labs are essential for recreating and debugging customer issues, helping deliver world-class service to enterprise clients. This is a full-time, on-site role in Richardson, TX. Remote or hybrid work is not available. What You’ll Do: + Install and configure new devices and equipment in a lab environment + Build and modify test beds based on network topologies + Work on technical cases requested by senior engineers supporting global enterprise clients + Troubleshoot performance issues and stand up new or existing environments + Research and implement technical solutions Core Responsibilities: + Layer 1 & 2 setup and configuration of routers, switches, and network segments + Read and interpret network topologies to build small networks + Download and install OS software/device images + Use tools like IXIA, Spirent, and Packet Tracer + Configure and troubleshoot Catalyst, Nexus, and XR products + Perform VLAN configuration and work with VMware Required Skills & Experience: + Foundational networking knowledge, including topologies and troubleshooting + Basic router and switch configuration + Familiarity with networking tools and test equipment + Strong troubleshooting skills and technical curiosity + Good verbal and written communication + Ability to prioritize tasks and stay organized + Team-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability + Motivated self-starter with a desire for continuous learning Physical Requirements: + Ability to work overhead (up to 6 feet) using a ladder + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance + Comfortable working in a data center environment throughout the day — this is not a desk job Why You’ll Love This Role: + Work with a collaborative and innovative team + Gain hands-on experience with enterprise-level technologies + Be part of a mission-critical function supporting global clients Ready to Apply?
