**Job Description**
We are currently recruiting a **Junior Flood Modeler** to join our busy and expanding experienced Hydraulics and Drainage team. The team provides assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of projects. Our clients work for private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. Our group has an established track record of successfully delivering water designs for many years, throughout the UK and Ireland, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand among others. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation and Water projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural team for Enterprise Capabilities.
**The responsibilities of this role include:**
+ Developing and checking hydraulic models (using packages such as Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, Mike 11, Mike 21, HEC-RAS and ICM) to assist the design of Flood Alleviation Schemes, deliver Flood Risk Assessments and conduct reservoir flood studies.
+ Development of hydrological analyses to inform model boundary conditions
+ Interpreting model outputs to assess flood risk in the present day and also any changes expected as a result of climate change.
+ Preparation of graphical and GIS deliverables.
+ Verification of models and tools using recorded information to validate results of predictive assessments
+ Involvement with and support to the modelling team and other disciplines.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Over 2 years of experience working on fluvial systems.
+ Proficiency in Flood Modeller and TUFLOW.
+ Familiarity with water quality models will be well considered.
+ Familiarity with hydrological assessments including Flood Estimation Handbook, ReFH2 and WINFAP will be well considered.
+ Fluent in English (oral and written).
+ Previous working experience on UK or Irish projects is considered favorably.

+ Bachelor or Master degree in Civil, Environmental or Water Engineering or related field.
