Job Description
This role will be in the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) department for the EMEA & NA region, supporting the Supply Chain Finance business.
The FP&A team is responsible for the analysis of financial reports, trends, risks, and opportunities. We gather, interpret, and evaluate financial information, including past financial data and short- to long-term financial forecasts.
As part of the wider FP&A Team, you will have the opportunity to understand how our company operates and improve your analytical skills, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and taking advantage of personal development opportunities.
Basic Requirements
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for:
Cooperating with Supply Chain Finance to ensure they are equipped with the necessary reports and analysis
Performing deferred cost analysis and COGS accounting
Collecting and analyzing data from various sources to produce accurate and timely reports related to COGS recognition errors
Preparing monthly/quarterly inventory reporting
Performing cost accounting functions for supply chain activity
Preparing monthly and quarterly journal entries related to the above
Optimizing month-end closing processes to ensure timely closing
Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations (using ARCs)
Creating monthly credit memos for international, federal & internal returns
Providing support to the shared services team for any issues
Assisting with operational queries from business and other departments
Assisting with SOX testing and PwC audit as required
Participating in process improvement or ad hoc projects as necessary
Key qualifications of the Financial Analyst:
1 year of demonstrable finance experience, preferably in mid-size/large organizations
Excellent communication skills, able to interact with Finance and non-Finance staff at various levels
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets with the use of advanced functions
Self-starter and team player
Excellent English (spoken, written)
