As a Junior Central Data Steward, you will take part in the implementation and execution of processes and procedure that monitor and enforce data governance policies making sure data assets/products are well-managed, and data quality is optimized across the organization helping the organization to be become data-driven.
Responsibilities
Supporting Central Data Stewards in executing data governance processes and procedures aligned with existing policies and standards.
Creating and updating documentation for data dictionaries ensuring information is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
Supporting the onboarding, updating, and maintenance of data assets in the Collibra Data Catalog according to agreed guidelines and timelines.
Supporting the data product certification process by ensuring required governance artifacts (definitions, ownership, quality indicators) are documented and up to date prior to certification reviews.
Assisting in data quality monitoring activities, including creating and executing data quality queries and helping track agreed KPIs.
Creating data quality dashboards (Power BI).
Helping identify and document data quality issues and supporting follow-up actions.
Supporting communication, knowledge-sharing, and data literacy initiatives, including preparation of training materials or user guidance.
Participating in governance meetings and workshops as needed to capture decisions, actions, and updates.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
Initial experience in data governance, data management, analytics, or related areas is an advantage.
Skills & Knowledge
Basic understanding of data governance and data quality concepts.
Strong skills with Power BI & SQL is a must.
Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both business and technical teams.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn and grow in the data governance space.
Introductory experience with Collibra or other data governance tools is nice to have.
Interest in emerging topics such as Data Mesh, automation or AI in data governance.
