Report to: Accounting Manager

Hours: ONSITE EVERYDAY Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:30pm, Friday 8:00am-12:00pm

Six Month Contract with Potential to go perm.

Responsibilities:

Prepare bank and general ledger account reconciliations, investigating variances and ensuring accuracy of financial records.

• Provide support to finance team as required with financial reporting and audits.

• Prepare payment runs and ensure adherence to payment schedules.

• Accurately input data into ERP system, maintaining a high level of precision.

• Support the AP specialist with all aspects of the accounts payable process.

• Resolve discrepancies in a timely manner collaborating with purchasing and receiving teams.

• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of invoices, POs, and related documentation.

• Respond to vendor and customer inquiries and address discrepancies in a professional manner.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the efficiency of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Drive improvements within AP and AR to minimize errors and rework.

• Primary point of contact with customers.

• Manage all aspects of AR to include, preparing customer invoices, posting cash receipts and collections.

• Respond to internal and external inquiries related to financial transactions and provide assistance as needed.

• Assist with other ad hoc accounting projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a junior accountant or similar role.

Familiarity with accounting software such as Costpoint, Great Plains, Visibility and Epicor (preferred but not required).

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Ability to troubleshoot issues.

Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams and external vendors.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of relevant accounting principles and practices.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hr.
