Job Title: Junior Accountant

Job Description

This position involves facilitating the financial reporting and compliance for multiple Canadian entities. Working closely with the Operational and Corporate Finance Teams, the Junior Accountant is a key contributor to the month-end close process, preparing journal entries, working papers, and variance analysis.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly journals with relevant supporting working papers, contributing to the month-end close process.Perform monthly SG&A and P&L variance analysis for multiple entities, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.Run various reports from the accounting system to support the team and enhance financial insights.Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations, maintaining financial integrity and transparency.Assist with other tasks as required, contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance team.Essential SkillsAccounting knowledge, including balance sheet and income statement preparation.Experience in variance analysis and journal entries.2+ years of accounting experience, including full cycle accounting.Familiarity with IFRS or ASPE accounting standards.Intermediate proficiency in Excel (pivot tables).Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Oracle is beneficial.Currently working toward CPA certification is a plus.Sociable and likeable personality.High level of organization and attention to detail.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
