We are seeking a highly motivated Jr Accountant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting various accounting functions. Responsibilities
+ Process payments to outside vendors efficiently and accurately.
+ Maintain general ledger postings to ensure financial accuracy.
+ Manage the petty cash fund and ensure proper documentation.
+ Interact with both internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service.
+ Post deposits to the bank and reconcile monthly billing statements.
+ Ensure all transactions have supporting documentation and are properly recorded.
+ Provide heavy and frequent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
+ Maintain spreadsheets for current cost analysis reviews and support payroll accounting.
+ Address and resolve vendor inquiries promptly and professionally.
+ Perform deposits using remote capture deposit technology.
+ Audit and create invoices with precision.
+ Assist with collection efforts as needed and support the accounting team in all duties.
+ File, copy, and scan documents to ensure proper record-keeping.
+ Escalate issues when appropriate to ensure resolution.
Essential Skills
+ Strong math skills and familiarity with Generally Acceptable Accounting Principles (GAAP).
+ Experience using automated accounting systems.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
+ High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
+ Problem-solving and research abilities.
+ Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
+ Dependability and initiative as a self-starter.
+ Strong interpersonal skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent experience is preferred.
+ 1+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the long-term care industry.
+ Working knowledge of medical health insurance benefits.
+ Proficiency in transactional accounting, data entry, receivables, reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger posting.
+ Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
Work Environment
You will be working in a professional office setting within a long-term care facility. While patients are present in the facility, the work environment is focused and conducive to productivity. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
