Japan Books encompasses a vast and growing range of businesses starting with our traditional print books category. We relentlessly innovate for our customers, such as in Amazon Print of Demand to get the very best selection and availability and ad supported reading so that customers can read books for free or at the very lowest price.

Key job responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced, highly analytical, and ambitious senior finance leader. This person will play a key role in driving the strategic direction of the business and act the CFO for Japan Books. The individual will directly partner with Japan Books general manager and support in areas such as strategic planning, business unit reporting, controllership, and investment appraisal. The individual will lead a team of finance professionals and should be well versed in team management and development.

Responsibilities include:
· Serving as the finance leader of the JP Books business and partnering with the JP Books GM
· Developing best in class and automated Finance processes
· Analyzing and tracking ROI of marketing and technology investments and supporting roadmap prioritization processes
· Driving annual and multi-year strategic planning processes
· Communicating financial and business results including variance analyses to senior business leaders
· Gathering analytical insights and developing financial frameworks that inform business improvement
· Managing weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reporting, including operational performance metrics
· Performing deep dive analyses to develop recommendations and impact the decision making of senior leadership
