**Job Title: Journeyman Plumber** Job Description We are seeking a skilled journeyman plumber to perform new construction installations of plumbing equipment for commercial sites throughout West Michigan. You will work with copper and PEX plumbing materials to complete installations, utilizing hand tools and power tools to hang, solder, and thread pipe to completion. Your ability to read tape measures, cut, and level piping installations will be essential. Responsibilities + Install plumbing equipment using copper and PEX materials. + Utilize hand tools and power tools for pipe soldering, threading, and hanging. + Read tape measures accurately to cut and level piping installations. + Fit and solder copper for domestic water systems. + Thread pipe effectively according to plumbing code. + Work comfortably at heights averaging 20 feet, with experience up to 100 feet. + Ensure the proper installation of hangers and adhere to plumbing code. Essential Skills + Proficiency in fitting and soldering copper pipes. + Ability to thread pipes and understand plumbing codes. + Possession of personal hand tools including tape measure, channel locks, drill, and level. + Comfort with working at significant heights. + Valid driver's license and personal vehicle. + State of Michigan Journeyman or Master Plumber license. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience operating equipment such as boom lifts, scissor lifts, and ladders. + Blueprint reading skills. + General labor and welding experience. + Knowledge of PVC installation and fitting. Start your shift between 6am and 7am, with workdays lasting 8-10 hours and potential for 5-10 hours of overtime. Wear steel toes or boots that go over the ankle, and use company-provided hard hats, glasses, gloves, and necessary power tools. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lansing, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
