**Job Title: Journeyman Plumber - 2nd Shift** **Job Description** The Plumbing Mechanic will perform maintenance, installation, and repair work on piped utility systems and fixtures, as well as the piping and connections of equipment. This role involves working under general supervision and utilizing the tools and techniques of plumbing technology. We are seeking a mechanic with significant experience and potential for growth. **Responsibilities** + Perform maintenance, installation, and repair work on piped utility systems and fixtures. + Handle the piping and connections of equipment. + Utilize all types of tools and equipment typically used in the plumbing trade, including specialized equipment such as power augers and pipe threaders. + Employ powered and non-powered tools, including drills, grinders, and compressed air devices. + Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair plumbing issues in commercial buildings. + Install and maintain HVAC systems and facilities. **Essential Skills** + Journeyman certification. + Experience in HVAC and facilities maintenance. + Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair. + Strong skills in plumbing, including installation and mechanical work. + Experience with commercial buildings. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma. + Experience working in a hospital or similar environment. **Why Work Here?** This position offers a path from contract-to-hire to full-time employment with comprehensive benefits. It involves working in both shop and mechanical area environments with exposure to dust, heat, cold, noise, and fumes. Tasks may be performed outdoors in extreme temperatures and other weather conditions. The job requires working in confined spaces, awkward positions, and at heights up to 30 feet using ladders, lifts, and equipment. The role demands the ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, Maryland. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $34.64 - $37.32/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
