Job Title: Journeyman Pipefitter



Job Description

Join our team as a Journeyman Pipefitter, where you will engage in shop fabrication, specifically building pressure pipe spools for various upcoming field projects. This is an opportunity to apply your skills in a startup environment with guaranteed projects and potential for full-time hire.

Responsibilities

Fabricate pressure pipe spools in the shop for field projects.Install, assemble, and repair piping systems.Read and interpret blueprints for accurate installations.Troubleshoot and resolve piping issues.Perform heavy lifting as required by the job.

Essential Skills

Construction, mechanical, installation, and general labor experience.Pipe fitting, piping, threading, and pipe installation skills.Roll grooved piping experience (4 inches) and threading proficiency.Experience with material transfer and carbon steel piping.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Journeyman Pipefitter or 4th year Apprentice certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience piping water, steam, gas, and drainage systems.Experience installing material handling equipment and plant machinery.Rigging experience.Ability to operate scissor lifts, zoom booms, and sit-down forklifts.Willingness to work out of town for certain projects.

Work Environment

Work in a full-service multi-trade industrial contracting environment headquartered in Calgary, AB. The role involves an 8+ hour workday, Monday to Friday, with overtime available after 40 hours per week. The workplace fosters a team-oriented culture, encouraging motivation and skill development. Dress code is suitable for industrial work, and the initial project involves a plant move at PlyGem in Forest Lawn.

The pay range for this position is $38.70 - $43.00/hr.
