**Aerotek's client is looking for a Journeyman Electrician to join their team in the DC area** **(Night shift)** The role involves ensuring the safe installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment and systems. **Responsibilities** + Create safe Maintenance of Traffic (M.O.T) control by setting up and removing traffic control devices, including cones, message/arrow boards, and temporary signage. + Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment such as transformers, switchboards, panel boards, conduit systems, disconnects, contactors, circuit breakers, motor starters, relays, controllers, motors, heaters, CCTV cameras, lane control signals, electronic message signs, lighting, PLC, and VFD. + Apply knowledge of NEC codes and requirements to ensure compliance and safety. + Utilize advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair faults across electrical assets and systems efficiently and cost-effectively. + Maintain high-quality workmanship in all tasks. + Collaborate with other trades, teams, and inspectors to ensure successful project completion. + Perform basic maintenance and repair of structures. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician. + Proficiency in installing and repairing electrical equipment, including transformers, switchboards, and various electrical systems. + Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to implement repairs to NEC standards. **Why Work Here?** + Enjoy a contract-to-hire opportunity with no layoffs in a collaborative team environment, complemented by great benefits. **Work Environment** + The position involves working on DC tunnels, with one role on a day shift and another on a night shift. **Pay Rate:** + $30-35/hr depending on relevant experience **_Qualified candidates will be given a call within 48 hours of submitting an application_** **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
