Job Title: Journeyman Electrician/Facilities Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Base Building Technician 3 to join our team and ensure the optimal functioning of our facility's systems. This role involves supervising maintenance staff, implementing preventative maintenance programs, and maintaining building systems to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

Supervise and direct maintenance staff, monitoring performance and ensuring efficient completion of responsibilities.Perform and oversee departmental service requests, minimizing disruption and inconvenience.Implement the preventative maintenance program, including scheduling, delegating tasks, and managing inventory for repairs and installations.Provide training and supervision to expand operations staff capabilities, including hands-on instruction and professional development.Ensure minimal disruption and thorough cleanup for work performed in client spaces.Perform maintenance and repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire Life Safety, and Control systems.Record equipment readings and make necessary adjustments for proper operation.Maintain HVAC systems through cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and part replacement.Comply with safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials, maintaining a clean workplace.Review service request summaries monthly to address recurrent operational problems.Evaluate vendors and suppliers for quality and competitive pricing regularly.Prepare and submit purchase order requests, verifying delivery accuracy.Conduct periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory.Monitor maintenance work quality and pricing by outside contractors.Lead event setup and teardown activities, including coordinating electrical and audiovisual tasks.Perform additional job duties as requested.

Essential Skills

Valid Journeyman Electrician LicenseCertification as a Universal Technician for CFCs or obtain within 90 days of employment.Ability to analyze and troubleshoot various system operations.Working knowledge of computer applications, including Word and Excel.Availability for call-in work and other duties as required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School diploma or GED equivalent with two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC.Skills in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, facilities maintenance, and maintenance technician.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodbury, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $44.00 - $49.00/hr.
