Journeyman Electrician
**Job Title: Journeyman Electrician** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled and licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our Residential Service team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues in residential settings. This role involves performing installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting while ensuring compliance with all safety codes and regulations. **Responsibilities** + Arrive at customer appointments on time and dressed in company apparel. + Meet or exceed projected installation goals. + Drive company vehicle to and from customer appointments to recommend, sell, and install electrical solutions or service existing installations following job specifications, quality standards, and safety guidelines. + Install electrical systems including wiring, lighting, control systems, and generators. + Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues. + Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. + Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. + Follow safety protocols and comply with local electrical codes and regulations. + Keep work areas clean and organized. + Attend training sessions and complete coursework as required for licensing. + Pull and run wiring within a residential setting. + Timely complete all required tasks to ensure customers have a remarkable experience by following up until all issues are resolved. + Live out the company’s purpose, mission, and values. + Drive company vehicles safely and participate in ongoing company or manufacturer training/development programs. + Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor. **Essential Skills** + Journeyman Electrician License with the State of Michigan. + 5+ years of Residential Construction or Service experience. + Comfortable around upgrades, panels, generators, running wire, fixtures, and switches. + Customer Service experience and ability to communicate effectively. + Valid driver's license. + Proficiency in troubleshooting, construction, blueprint reading, wiring, schematic interpretation, installation, cable repair, pulling wire, service, switchgear, electrical wiring, and electrical troubleshooting. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with residential construction and service. + Comfortable with electrical upgrades and installations. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy benefits such as a company vehicle (take home), paid drive time, 401k with a 3% match, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. Engage primarily in residential work (95%) with occasional commercial projects (5%). Work independently 99.9% of the time, covering the lower peninsula with rare assignments in the UP. Expect to make 1-6 trips daily, depending on drive time. No on-call duties and Saturday work is rare, though volunteering is an option. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Lansing, MI. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $83000.00/yr.
