Journeyman Electrician
**Job Title: Journeyman Electrician** Job Description We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing equipment such as pumps, stills, deionizers, softeners, air compressors, freeze dryers, sterilizers, and maintaining the facilities. You will need to adhere to safety regulations and work a full shift with potential overtime as needed. Responsibilities + Perform a variety of maintenance, repairs, continuous improvement, and new installation functions on plant equipment and machinery with limited direction and guidance. + Support manufacturing operations in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation. + Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units. + Complete wiring projects and new installations professionally, safely, and efficiently per electrical line-up and documentation. + Troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment with minimal supervision using safe electrical techniques, schematics, and diagnostic instruments. + Perform mechanical functions and incidental work as needed to achieve assigned tasks. + Verify equipment functionality and ensure the area is clean and safe after work completion. + Respond to requests by maintenance supervisors or support personnel and set priorities to maximize equipment uptime. + Maintain a complete set of required tools, including electrical meters and diagnostic devices. + Utilize diagnostic tools and electrical schematics to define problem areas and assist with resolution. + Develop PLC skills to troubleshoot controls-related issues. + Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve operational uptime and equipment life. + Recommend improvements and changes to PM systems/tasks when applicable. Essential Skills + Possession of a Journeyman Card Electrician (UAW, IBEW, State, DOL). + High School Diploma. + Experience troubleshooting conveyors and/or automated equipment. + PLC Troubleshooting (ability to hook computer into PLC to view and troubleshoot). Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Siemens PLCs is a plus. Why Work Here? This position offers a competitive base pay with a 7% shift premium. Work Environment The work environment is a clean, sterile manufacturing setting with several filling and capping lines, each in separate sterile areas. The tool room is older, with machines dating back to the 1980s. The position involves working the second shift from 3 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday through Friday, and every other Saturday, with a 7% shift premium. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of ROCHESTER, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $108222.40 - $111467.20/yr.
