Qualifications
Valid Journeyman Electrician License for the State of Texas
Clean and valid state driver’s license
Knowledge of state and local building codes
Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and other electrical regulations
Ability to lift over 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in enclosed spaces
Skills
Strong analytical and organizational abilities
Effective communication of technical information to clients and coworkers
Problem-solving skills with various electrical controls and systems
Ability to select correct materials for work assignments
Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word
Duties & Responsibilities
Work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment
Test and troubleshoot electrical systems using voltmeters, oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, wiring diagrams, schematics, sketches, and blueprints
Communicate effectively with team members
Plan and layout work projects from diagrams or verbal instructions
Document actions, testing results, observations, and diagnoses
Track inventory of supplies, equipment, tools, and machinery
Repair electrical issues by replacing or installing components, wiring, or devices
Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company guidelines
Operate vehicles and powered equipment (trucks, ATVs, ladders, scaffolding, platforms, lifts)
Complete assigned work orders
Participate in non-electrical work when required
Coordinate and execute preventive maintenance inspections and repairs
Respond to emergency power failures
Perform other job-related duties as assigned by site management
Work evenings and weekends as needed for shutdowns or maintenance
Be available for overtime and on-call duties
May be the only maintenance staff member on duty during certain shifts
May be required to work extended hours during emergencies or priority situations
