Journeyman Electrician

**Aerotek's client is looking for a Journeyman Electrician to join their team in the Washington, D.C area**
The role involves ensuring safety and efficiency in electrical operations through installation, maintenance, and repair of various electrical systems.
**Responsibilities**
+ Create safe Maintenance of Traffic (M.O.T) control by setting up and removing traffic control devices including cones, message/arrow boards, and temporary signage.
+ Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment such as transformers, switchboards, panel boards, conduit systems, disconnects, contactors, circuit breakers, motor starters, relays, controllers, motors, heaters, CCTV cameras, lane control signals, electronic message signs, lighting, PLC, VFD, and more.
+ Apply advanced troubleshooting skills to accurately diagnose causes of faults across a wide range of electrical assets and systems promptly.
+ Implement cost-effective and reliable repairs in accordance with NEC standards.
+ Maintain high-quality workmanship in all tasks.
+ Collaborate effectively with other trades, teams, and inspectors.
+ Perform basic maintenance and repair of structures.
+ Be available for emergency response rotations, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 2 years experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
+ Proficiency in installing and repairing electrical equipment including transformers, switchboards, panel boards, conduit systems, disconnects, contactors, circuit breakers, motor starters, relays, controllers, motors, heaters, CCTV cameras, lane control signals, electronic message signs, lighting, PLC, VFD, etc.
+ Strong understanding of NEC codes and requirements.
+ Advanced troubleshooting skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Any additional electrical knowledge is a plus.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
