Journeyman Electrician
**Job Title: Journeyman Electrician** **Job Description** Join a dynamic team that refurbishes, installs, and services a variety of circuit breakers and switchgear boxes for multiple clients, including mining and utility companies. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for dismantling, refurbishing, and rebuilding a variety of circuit breakers and switchgears, while traveling to different locations based on service calls. **Responsibilities** + Dismantle, refurbish, and re-build a variety of circuit breakers and switchgears. + Travel to different locations based on service calls. + Perform above-ground piping, running conduit, and maintenance on circuit breaker boxes. + Conduct electrical installation, including conduit, cable, low and medium voltage switchgear, and electrical apparatus. + Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all types of electrical and electronic systems, both indoors and outdoors. + Work with low voltage and medium voltage ranging from 120v up to 46kv. + Utilize electrical test meters such as megger, ammeters, hipot, ductor, and Doble. + Read and understand electrical schematics and drawings. + Travel to perform regular preventative maintenance and emergency projects. + Perform basic control wiring installation using schematics and wiring diagrams with minimal assistance. + Provide and maintain personal tools. **Essential Skills** + Knowledge and experience working with motors, switchgear, transformers, controls, variable frequency drives, protective relays, and other electrical equipment. + Proficiency in the use of electrical test meters. + Thorough knowledge of electrical theory and experience in AC and DC power circuits. + General knowledge of low and medium voltage circuit breakers. + Ability to perform basic control wiring installation. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + At least 5 years of electrical experience desired. + Journeyman d or equivalent experience is important. + Experience related to utility companies and heavy industry is a plus. + Electrical education or certifications are a plus. + Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Good customer relations skills and ability to remain calm during stressful situations. + Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized. + Must be a self-starter and able to make quick decisions. + Must be willing to follow standard safety practices. + Must show reliability and dependability. + Ability to work overtime as required. + Ability to physically perform all required duties. + Willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment and work around industrial equipment. + Willingness to travel and work in various geographic locations. + Driving to jobs is a regular function of this role. **Why Work Here?** Join a team that is revolutionizing equipment and process reliability across diverse sectors. Trucks are provided for transportation to and from job sites, and expenses for travel, including rooms and gas, are covered. The typical shift starts at 7 am, but may vary depending on the job site. Overtime is available. Personal hand tools are required. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tucson, Arizona. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
