Journeyman CNC Machinist
Job Title: Journeyman CNC MachinistJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team. This role requires proficiency in machining techniques and the ability to operate various CNC machines, including 3, 4, and 5 axis equipment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring product quality, maintaining productivity standards, and supporting team objectives.

ResponsibilitiesUnderstand basic and advanced machining techniques.Set up and operate 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC equipment.Verify products using basic inspection equipment.Deburr parts and follow Quality Management Systems (QMS) procedures.Meet productivity standards and follow job priority instructions.Communicate production delays and problems to supervisors.Document work movement in the ERP system.Support the Manufacturing team to achieve company and departmental goals.Maintain 6S and Lean manufacturing best practices.Participate in team and company meetings.Role model proper work ethics, behaviors, hygiene, and dress.Design, specify, and create tooling and production processes on CNC equipment.Provide training and recommend qualifications for specific processes and equipment.Troubleshoot advanced machining problems and monitor production performance.Participate in safety and quality investigations and recommend corrective action.Manage time and attendance, including approval of time off and overtime.Essential SkillsExperience with 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines.Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.Basic understanding of inspection techniques.Organizational and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Additional Skills & QualificationsIntermediate to advanced knowledge of machining processes.Experience providing on-the-job training or mentoring.Experience developing tooling and production processes.Aptitude for supervisory skills and team leadership.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in an aerospace machine shop with a swing shift from 3:25 PM to 1:55 AM Monday through Thursday, and a weekend shift from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM Friday through Sunday. Operate in a facility equipped with Haas and 5 axis machines, including a VF-6 and a TR-310 trunnion.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
