Journeyman CNC Machinist
**Job Title: Journeyman CNC Machinist** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Journeyman CNC Machinist who is experienced in machining techniques and capable of processing products using various CNC machines. This role requires setting up and operating 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC equipment, as well as verifying product quality using basic inspection equipment. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS) procedures and meet established productivity standards. **Responsibilities** + Understand and apply basic and advanced machining techniques. + Set up and operate 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC equipment. + Verify product quality using basic inspection equipment and deburr parts. + Follow Quality Management Systems (QMS) procedures. + Meet productivity standards and follow job priority instructions. + Communicate production delays and problems to supervisors. + Utilize ERP system to document work movement. + Support team members to achieve company and departmental goals. + Maintain 6S and Lean manufacturing best practices. + Participate in team and company meetings. + Role model proper work ethics, behaviors, hygiene, and dress. + Mentor program participants and obtain a delegation stamp. + Design, specify, and create tooling and production processes. + Provide training and recommend qualifications for specific processes. + Make manufacturing improvements and edit CNC programs. + Coordinate staff assignments to meet production needs. + Monitor and troubleshoot production performance. + Participate in safety and quality investigations. + Manage time and attendance, including approval of time off and overtime. + Provide input for performance reviews and disciplinary actions. + Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as instructed by supervisors. **Essential Skills** + Experience with 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC machines. + Ability to set up and operate CNC equipment. + Experience with Haas machines and VF-6 with a TR-310 trunnion is advantageous. + Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. + Basic understanding of inspection techniques. + Organizational skills and problem-solving abilities. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively. + Intermediate to advanced knowledge of machining processes. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience providing on-the-job training or mentoring. + Experience developing tooling and production processes. + Aptitude for supervisory skills. **Why Work Here?** This role offers work stability in the aerospace sector, ensuring a secure and long-term position. The work schedule includes a swing shift from 3:25 pm to 1:55 am, Monday through Thursday, and a weekend shift from Friday through Sunday, 6:00 am to 6:30 pm. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
