This position will be based at Keywords International Tokyo in Izumi, Suginami-ku, Tokyo.
After the probation period, the role follows a hybrid model, requiring in-office work three days a week at our office.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team focusing on community and in game content for a leading social games publisher.
The role is to translate and transcreate from English into Japanese player support, community and in-game content for mobile games.
The linguist will also be responsible for testing, identifying, and reporting bugs, as well as suggesting fixes to potential bugs related to language, text implementation and user interface (UI) issues.
This role requires excellent language skills, creativity and a passion for games.
Duties and Responsibilities
Translate/trans create in game, player support and community content from English to Japanese to a high-quality standard Perform Quality Assurance tasks in a variety of published content (games, websites, etc.) Be responsible for all linguistic aspects of the translations you are assigned to ensure the best possible quality is achieved Suggest process improvements that will deliver on goal of optimal translation quality Collaborate with linguists in other languages on cross group Quality objectives
