Description Amazon's dynamic Tax Department is seeking a Tax Manager to join our Foreign Direct Tax Reporting & Compliance Team in Japan. As part of our fast-paced, innovative team, you'll play a crucial role in managing worldwide tax reporting across Japan and the APAC region while working with diverse stakeholders globally. What You'll Do: - Lead end-to-end direct tax compliance and reporting for Japan and other APAC countries - Manage statutory financial statement reporting under local GAAP and US GAAP worldwide tax provision - Guide teams through tax authorities audits and controversy matters - Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and manage strategic tax planning initiatives - Research and document tax positions - Spearhead process automation and digital transformation projects - Shape global standard procedures for tax compliance and reporting What We're Looking For: - Strategic mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities - Strong project management and leadership skills - Communication and collaboration capabilities - Self-motivated professional with attention to detail - Passion for innovation and process improvement Join us in shaping the future of international tax management at one of the world's most innovative companies.
