Job Description
This position will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of a building. The role involves ensuring cleanliness and order within the assigned areas, focusing particularly on restrooms, break rooms, common areas, and entrances. The janitorial worker will be specifically assigned to 1-2 floors of a 6-floor building, following a rough schedule.
ResponsibilitiesPatrolling the exterior of the building to ensure cleanliness.Removing trash both inside and outside the building.Cleaning doors, windows, and glass surfaces.Sweeping and mopping floors.Maintaining the cleanliness of restrooms, including wiping down surfaces and ensuring toilets are flushed.Keeping restrooms and break rooms stocked with necessary supplies.Performing stain removal and upkeep of break rooms.Documenting actions in a computer system.Essential SkillsAt least 1 year of experience in porter, janitorial, cleaning, housekeeping, maintenance, or facility roles.Ability to read and speak English; being bilingual is a plus.Excellent communication skills and ability to over-communicate effectively.Capacity to lift or move up to 20 lbs.Ability to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a commercial setting with porter, janitorial, custodian, or housekeeping roles is preferred.Attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, and high levels of energy and endurance.Friendly and professional demeanor required at all times.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The position is based in a 400k sq ft building in Fremont, operating in a GMP environment with specific protocols to follow daily. The role requires comfort with exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals. The shift schedule is from Sunday to Thursday, with Sunday hours from 5 am to 1:30 pm and the rest of the days from 5 pm to 1:30 am.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
