Janitor/Driver - Northern Manitoba Remote Camp

Well over 50% of our applicants have been referred to by existing employees who recommend Outland to their friends and colleagues. As a remote Janitor/Driver reporting to the Lodge Manager, this permanent full-time position is based in Snow Lake Manitoba. Rotation description is 2 weeks on and 1 week off – 10 hours per day. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the following: acting as an ambassador by providing outstanding customer service to our internal and external guests; assisting leadership in performing daily janitorial tasks effectively and efficiently; performing other related duties and projects as required. **The position involves a remote work lifestyle in a camp setting with the following amenities:** + All meals and accommodations are provided + Travel is provided to and from the site locations from designated locations in Winnipeg MB, Thompson, Flin Flon and surrounding area + Private room with cable television + Access to Wi-Fi + Access to laundry facilities and detergents + Access to a gym and common areas **Key Responsibilities** + Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment in all boot rooms and main entrances, including walls, benches, doors, and windows. + Ensure all washrooms are consistently cleaned, sanitized, and stocked to meet hygiene standards. + Clean and sanitize the gym and recreation room to promote a safe and comfortable space for staff and clients. + Keep outdoor areas tidy by collecting and disposing of garbage, ensuring the ground remains clean and presentable. + Collect and remove garbage from dormitories, transporting waste to the designated dumpster area. + Deliver and replace 20-litre water jugs to all dormitories as required. + Safely transport staff by driving to designated drop off and pick up areas for staff transport – as needed. **Qualifications** **SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED** + Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with clear abstract. + Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills and comprehension + Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and time management skills. + Ability and desire to work independently with minimal supervision, and as a team player + Clear criminal background check is required. + Ability to handle the following physical demands: + Lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 lbs + Climb ladders or stairs + Stand, walk, squat, kneel or sit according to task for extended periods of time + Perform repetitive hand work requiring full use of both hands + Perform work with arms at full length + Work with arms above shoulder height **Additional Information** **WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?** + Enjoy excellent work-life balance with a 2 weeks on/1 weeks off rotation + Ability to expand skills in a large camp atmosphere + Whereas other companies are downsizing, we are growing! + Be #1 on day 1 by joining an industry leader **Work schedule and remuneration:** Janitor/Driver works on a rotational schedule of 2 weeks on/1 weeks off. Site locations are in remote settings, requiring either air travel to site, or via ground on our shuttle. You may be required to work nights, weekdays, weekends, and general holidays.
