Job Title: Custodian/Janitor

Job Description

As a janitor, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and order within the facility. Your responsibilities will include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, dusting, and washing windows. You will ensure surfaces and restrooms are sanitized, manage supplies, and report any major maintenance or cleanliness issues to management. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring the facility is safe by locking doors at night and keeping the premises clean and orderly.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors in hallways, cafeteria, restrooms, and administrative buildings.Dust surfaces and wash windows.Sanitize restrooms, sinks, surfaces, and toilets.Remove trash from restrooms, offices, and common areas.Manage cleaning supplies, including ordering new supplies and tools, restocking supply closets, and maintaining inventory.Notify management about major maintenance and cleanliness issues, and report unsafe conditions to supervisors.Ensure facility safety by locking doors at night and maintaining a clean and orderly environment.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in cleaning, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and dusting.Experience in sanitizing restrooms and surfaces.General housekeeping and janitorial duties.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience as a janitor or floor technician.Minimum of 1 year working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.Ability to stand on feet for 8 hours a day.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.00/hr.
