IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician
Job Title: IV Compounding Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a skilled IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This role involves preparing and mixing IV medications, managing pharmacy equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a Long-Term Care (LTC) environment that provides opportunities for growth beyond retail settings.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare and mix IV medications using sterile techniques and accurate dose calculations.Package and ship supplies and equipment to care facilities.Maintain detailed records of IV mixing and compounding activities.Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of pharmacy equipment.Program and manage infusion pumps, including elastomeric devices.Enter and manage data for IV orders in pharmacy systems.Source and order supplies from approved vendors.Complete technician assignments as directed by pharmacy leadership.Track equipment and supplies in the rental log system.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for client services and internal processes.Support safety protocols and ensure compliance with operational standards.Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to special projects.Essential SkillsCompounding expertise, including both sterile and non-sterile techniques.Active national or state pharmacy technician certification.Prior experience in IV compounding.Basic computer proficiency and understanding of medical terminology.Strong math and analytical skills.Effective communication skills in both verbal and written English.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Familiarity with elastomeric pumps is preferred.Previous experience in a pharmacy technician role is preferred, especially in sterile compounding.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $54000.00/yr.

PTO, 2.31hrs/wk, 3 weeks total in the year.Health, Dental, Vision, 401k, 1%-0.25% match, 2%-0.50% match, 3%-0.75% match, 4%-1.00% match. Cap at 1.00%.
