This position supports daily operations by troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic network issues in a retail environment. Why Work at the University Campus Store? Learn more about our mission and values here www.store.utah.edu **Responsibilities** * Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues related to Windows-based cash register systems. * Provide technical support for label printers and peripheral devices. * Support POS system setup, operation, and takedown for sporting events and off-site sales events. * Collaborate with Campus Store staff and IT partners to resolve issues and improve system performance. * Document technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. * Learn and support the NetSuite POS and ERP system. * Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment inventory. * Follow campus policies, security standards, and data privacy requirements. * During event downtime, assist with other operational duties as assigned. **Minimum Qualifications** Must be a current University of Utah student. **Preferences** * Prior experience in IT support, computer repair, or a related role. * Familiarity with Windows, macOS, or Linux. * Basic understanding of networking concepts. * Customer service experience. * Basic knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems. * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. * Ability to communicate clearly with staff and end users. * Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment **Special Instructions Summary** **Additional Information** The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems (“URS”).
