Position Summary

The IT Strategic Planning & Procurement Analyst supports organizational planning initiatives, procurement activities, and financial analysis. This role is designed for individuals with foundational knowledge in finance and procurement who are eager to develop strategic thinking skills. The position involves assisting senior team members in analyzing data, preparing reports, and coordinating procurement processes to ensure cost efficiency and alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning Support

Assist in gathering and analyzing market, operational, and financial data to support strategic initiatives.

Prepare reports and presentations for planning meetings and leadership reviews.

Track progress on strategic projects and maintain documentation of milestones.

Procurement Activities

Support vendor selection and contract administration processes.

Conduct basic cost analysis and assist in preparing RFQs/RFPs.

Maintain procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies.

Financial Analysis

Assist in budget preparation and forecasting for procurement and strategic projects.

Monitor expenditures and reconcile purchase orders against budgets.

Prepare financial summaries for leadership review.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work with finance, operations, and procurement teams to align activities with organizational goals.

Participate in meetings and contribute to process improvement discussions.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in finance, procurement, or planning (internship experience acceptable)

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems (SAP, Ariba)

Understanding of IT operations, functions, and support

IT procurement experience

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, related field or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$60,300.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
