**Description** SAIC is hiring an Information Technology Specialist with experience in providing military customers excellent deskside customer service. The position is based in Stuttgart Germany. **Roles & Responsibilities:** + Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop and laptop PCs, and peripherals on NIPR, SIPR and TS networks + Configuring, optimizing, fine-tuning, and monitoring operating system software and hardware + Installing operating system software, patches, and upgrades + Providing full lifecycle support of the campus infrastructure including network installation, tuning, testing, monitoring, upgrading, patching, break/fix, defense, and management of the campus routing and switching infrastructures, including network hardware + Removing old equipment and performing data migration to new machines + Installing, maintaining, and assessing current and future telecommunications systems and equipment + Supporting messaging services including email, chat, and VTC sessions on behalf of end users to ensure proper operation + Installing new cable. Terminating and testing new cable. Testing and troubleshooting faulty cable + Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving system hardware, software, and networking issues + Troubleshooting and resolving LAN/WAN performance, connectivity, and related network problems + Troubleshooting, analyzing, and isolating the root cause of problems that arise + Recommending courses of action to return impacted systems to full operational status + Strong written and verbal communications skills + Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment + Communicating both orally and in writing, with staff at all levels internally, with oversight agencies, with the private sector and with senior government executives **Qualifications** + Must meet DOD 8570 / 8140 Compliance (Security+ or Higher) + CCNA Certification + Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI upon hire + Familiarity with COCOM operations + Bachelor's Degree & 2 years of experience + 6 Years experience with no degree **Desired Qualifications:** + CompTIA A+ CompTIA Network+ CCNA + BMC Remedy and Service Now Experience REQNUMBER: 2511367 SAIC is a premier technology integrator, solving our nation's most complex modernization and systems engineering challenges across the defense, space, federal civilian, and intelligence markets.
