IT Security Operations Intern

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Security Operations Intern will be responsible for assisting and maintaining the security infrastructure. The Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for articulating technical security requirements, monitoring the effectiveness of the IT security controls framework, and raising the level of security awareness and policy compliance among workforce members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluate and implement data security systems to ensure the protection of corporate and customer data against unauthorized use, access, interruption, disclosure, accidental or intentional loss of data.
Develop innovative security solutions, while working with application developers and infrastructure engineers.
Provide technical guidance and manages all aspects of information protection architecture projects in complex environments.
Participate in audits for PCI, SOX, and other legal and regulatory compliance requirements.
Develop and implement corporate security policies, procedures, and processes along with security strategies.
Provide security support for many different platforms including Windows, Active Directory, Linux, Exchange, Office 365, Azure Cloud, Amazon AWS, VMWare, Citrix, and Application (Java, C++) security.
Conduct Pen Testing of infrastructure and applications to identify vulnerabilities.
Conduct Red Team activities and provide feedback to infrastructure and application engineers on issues.
Conduct Forensic investigations in compliance with legal discovery.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Broad knowledge of such fields as computer science, computer information systems, cyber security, accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc.
