Job Summary:\rThe Security Engineer III is responsible for performing technical analysis, implementation, and support of WellStar's security program. This role will participate in the implementation of security solutions, standards, procedures, and incident response & remediation.\rThe Security Engineer III must be a subject matter expert in network and host-based firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability scanning, anti-malware and spam protection, secure data transmission technologies, and network monitoring/protection solutions.\rDeploy and manage security tools such as endpoint protection, encryption, firewall configurations, log management, intrusion detection, multi-factor authentication\rRecommend changes to standard processes and operating procedures\rAnalyze information systems utilizing various cybersecurity techniques including packet analysis tools, forensics tools, intrusion prevention systems, firewalls, SIEM solutions, and vulnerability assessment software to aid in the detection and prevention of cyber-attacks\rWork with SOC to investigate and respond to security incidents\rLeading information security projects and implementing security technology\rAct as advisor for information security risks, threats and solutions\rAssist with security policy reviews, configuration standards, and 3rd-party audits\rCore Responsibilities and Essential Functions:\rConduct compliance assessment and audits\r* Review logs, system activities, and process artifacts\r* Perform, using documented processes, validations and audits\r* Conduct process reviews\r* Assist in improving processes, as required\rIncident Response\r* As required respond to security incidents using appropriate procedures\r* Participate fully in Security Incident Response Team program\r* Provide service for incident tickets received from IT Service Desk or other organizations\rConsulting and Collaboration\r* Participate, as part of a larger team, to ensure information security requirements are met\r* Educate business units, as needed, on proper processes and procedures to protect information assets\r* Work, as needed, within department on quality improvements to all programs\rPerforms other duties as assigned\rComplies with all WellStar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.\rRequired Minimum Education:\rBachelor's Degree in Information Systems (or related field)\r\rRequired Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):\rAll certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.CISSP - Cert Info Sys Security Pro-Preferred\rAdditional License(s) and Certification(s):\rRequired Minimum Experience:\rMinimum 8 years Information Security experience. Required and\rMinimum 5 years in Information Security (8-10 years without Bachelors) Required\rRequired Minimum Skills:\rAnalytical, Verbal & Written Communication, Time Management, Project Management, Risk Assessment, System, Process Improvement, Strong audit/assessment focus.
