Description
Objective:
The Procurement Sourcing Associate is an established performer that works closely with the Procurement team to analyze and optimize sourcing strategies. This role involves collecting and interpreting data, identifying trends, and collaborating with suppliers to achieve cost savings and enhance overall procurement efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•\tCoordinate all activities related to procurement of a commodity starting with intent to purchase through delivery. Analyze the requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date commodity as needed.
•\tSolicit and evaluate proposals for the requested commodity. Investigate and/or interview potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified requirements. Advise team members or management on the appropriate supplier to be used.
•\tNegotiate the lowest possible cost for the commodity balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs. Implement purchase contracts that comply with company and government regulations.
•\tAssures that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company. Maintain timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records.
•\tCoordinate appropriate methods needed to distribute commodity in a cost-effective manner.
•\tMaintain contact with appropriate internal partners to help determine short and long-term demand.
•\tPerform other duties as needed.

•\tBachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
•\t2-4 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

•\tDemonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.
•\tExcellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
•\tAble to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
•\tHigh level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
