Company Overview
The Portfolio Manager provides enterprise level oversight and governance for DGIT strategic IT initiatives. This role ensures alignment with business priorities, drives cross functional transparency, and stewards multiyear roadmaps that span multiple domains. The Sr Portfolio Manager directs prioritization, sequencing, resource alignment, and delivery governance across all programs within the portfolio. The position serves as a key liaison between, IT and business partners, Finance, Strategic Sourcing, and vendor partners to ensure clarity, accountability and on time execution. Although this role does not have HR direct reports, it provides day to day leadership, work direction and supervision to Project managers, project Analysts, and Scrum Masters responsible for coordinating delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management
Owns end to end portfolio strategy, planning, prioritization, and execution across multiple IT domainsLeads development of integrated portfolio roadmaps, including scope, financials, dependencies, and multi-year schedulingProvides daily leadership and work supervision to Project Managers, project Analysts, and Scrum Masters; assigns work, sets priorities, and ensures delivery outcomesOversees definition and approval of project charters, success metrics and critical milestonesDrives alignment with business partners, Finance Engineering, and product Teams to optimize delivery sequencing and business valueLeads risk, issue, and dependency management across program and domain boundariesFacilities executive steerco discussions, communicates strategic trade-offs, and influences decision making across senior stakeholder
Govern & Measure
Champions portfolio governance practices and organizational change management across all supported projectsEstablishes delivery health KPIs, monitors portfolio performance, and leads portolfio-wide reporting to senior leadership (Director, CIO, VPs)Ensures compliance to PMO standards, DG governance, SOX/SOW requirements and financial stewardship expectationsPartners with ITFA (Finance) to manage forecasting actuals, capital expense allocation budget variance, and vendor cost trackingEvaluates resource capacity, identifies gaps, and drives cross team resource strategies to ensure portoflio successLeads cross functional review cycles, escalates risks proactively, and drives migitation action across domainsConsolidates program level information into clear, executive ready summaries and dashboards

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
Ability to understand and communicate decisions impact the broader enterprise (big Picture perspective)Expertise in Project and Portfolio Management, Risk and Issue Management, and Strategic Planning across multi-year initiativesStrong leadership and communication skills for influencing senior stakeholders across the enterpriseAbility to assign work, set priorities, and supervise delivery teams in a non-HR management modelStrong organization skills with the ability to prioritize, delegate, and drive outcomes under tight deadlinesWork Experience &/or Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent l experienceMinimum of 8+ years of experience in project management or portfolio management (multi-year/ multi-domain experience strongly preferred)Retailor distribution industry experience preferredPMI, PgMP, SAFE, or similar certifications are a plus
