IT Network Engineer III
CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for an IT Network Engineer III. Type: Contract Job Title: IT Network Engineer III Location: Hybrid (preferred) 1–2 days/week onsite – preferable to candidates within 1 hour of Charlotte, NC or Corning, NY Pay Rate: Based on experience Work Hours: M–F 8am–5pm Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (minimum) Description We are seeking an experienced IT Network Engineer III to design, deploy, and optimize enterprise network solutions while providing technical leadership and mentorship. Candidates should have expertise in SD-WAN, EVPN-VXLAN, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching (Arista and Cisco), wireless networks (MIST), and network automation (Ansible, Python, APIs). Experience in OT manufacturing environments is a plus. Requirements Lead network engineering projects and provide technical direction Design and deploy scalable, secure network solutions Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize routing and switching technologies Manage wireless infrastructure, with emphasis on MIST solutions Develop automation workflows using Ansible, Python, Terraform, and APIs Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to standards Evaluate emerging technologies to improve performance, security, and automation Participate in on-call rotation as needed Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field Qualifications: Minimum 8 years of IT experience, including 2–3 years in a senior/lead role Strong expertise in LAN, SD-WAN, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), EVPN-VXLAN Hands-on experience with Cisco and Arista platforms Wireless network design and management experience (preferably MIST) Advanced automation skills using Ansible, Python, Terraform, and APIs Excellent communication and collaboration skills Relevant certifications (CCIE, JNCIE, Arista, MIST) preferred Travel Requirement Up to 30% travel may be required, including international destinations; higher during critical projects Additional Information No third-party resumes will be accepted Drug testing or other employment-related inquiries may be conducted Candidates must work on a W2 basis (no C2C or third-party vendors) CTG is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and an E-Verify company DOR/ITAR Required: US citizens or nationals only To be considered for this opportunity, please apply directly through our website or email your Word version resume and salary expectations to JoAnn.Abramo@ctg.com.
