IT Field Technician

Overview Salary Range: $51,000-$64,000 Annually Summary: The IT Field Technician completes research, recommends, and executes various tasks associated with the End User IT Support systems. This position will setup new devices, decommission old devices, troubleshoot issues with existing equipment, and completes various administrative responsibilities as assigned. Duties may be performed individually or as a team. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: • Directly support users throughout the Indiana regions • Install company information on new devices while removing company information from old devices • Physical setup of user workstations; computers, monitors, printers, and any other equipment required • Enter all work performed in our ticketing system • Perform audits of accounts, devices, and data sources; correct errors as needed • Perform routine site visits to each of our Indiana sites to ensure all equipment is functioning correctly • Supplemental Network/AV cabling as needed (working with Infrastructure team) Global Responsibilities: • Regular attendance and physical presence at work is an essential function of this position • This job may require additional duties not listed above and the employee may be asked to perform those duties to meet business needs Qualifications: Education/Specialized Knowledge/Professional Certifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent required • A college degree and/or 3 years or more experience in Information Technology or related major preferred Experience: • Experience with Windows computers, and a wide variety of networking equipment. • Understanding of basic networking terminology and the ability to communicate with level 3 support while troubleshooting equipment • Experience with industrial and office environments a plus Skills/Abilities: • Maintain a positive attitude and provide exemplary customer service • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instruction given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices • Organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are required • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills Working Conditions: • Operates within a professional office environment • Fast paced environment with a need to respond to ever changing scenarios • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions • Routine usage of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets • Local travel required between different sites; this can be several hours a day depending on the day Physical Requirements: • Regularly required to talk or hear; frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ozinga is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
