Job Purpose • Support product development and implementation programs/projects as a junior member of the IT delivery team, working under the guidance of senior IT Leads. • Contribute to AIG Japan’s product development initiatives from an IT perspective and grow into a future IT Lead role. • Gain hands-on experience by collaborating with business teams, IT teams, and external vendors. Job Responsibilities • Support the execution of IT delivery plans aligned with business strategies. • Work closely with business teams to understand requirements and priorities, and assist in coordinating with internal IT teams and vendor resources. • Support the delivery of technology solutions in line with business and IT objectives within assigned areas. • Assist in managing project progress, risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and with required quality. • Participate as a core member of delivery teams consisting of internal and external resources. • Review vendor deliverables together with senior members to confirm quality and fitness for purpose. • Gradually take ownership of defined tasks or small initiatives, with the aim of becoming an independent IT Lead in the future. Key Relationships Internal Interactions (Within the Organization) • Business stakeholders including product, distribution, operations, claims • Local and global IT teams External Interactions (Outside the Organization) • System integrators and development vendors • Other external partners as required Required Skills and Experiences Educational Qualification Bachelor of Science Degree – Computer Science or related field Specific Qualifications Japanese language: Native or business fluency. English: business fluency Total Experience • 3+ years of experience in the insurance industry (General Insurance preferred) • 3+ years of experience in IT projects, system development, or application delivery • Experience in product development or system enhancement is a plus • Strong willingness to learn and grow in a product-focused IT role • Good communication and collaboration skills • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment • Basic understanding of application systems, APIs, and databases • Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, or test processes is a plus At AIG, we value in-person collaboration as a vital part of our culture, which is why we ask our team members to be primarily in the office.
