Job Title: Senior Analyst   – IT Capital Financial Management (Contractor)

Location: Hyderabad, India (Hybrid – 4 days office / 1-day WFH)
 

Work Hours: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM EST aligned support

Role Summary

This role is responsible for end-to-end financial management of IT capital projects, with strong ownership of capital governance, SAP execution, financial analysis, and cross-functional coordination with global teams. The role manages IT hardware lifecycle projects, ensures compliance with capital guidelines, and drives accurate tracking, reporting, and closure of capital investments. The individual is expected to operate independently with minimal training and quickly take ownership of ongoing capital operations.

Key Responsibilities

Submit and manage IT hardware lifecycle capital projects in EcoSys, ensuring accuracy and compliance with capital approval guidelinesSubmit WBS request codes in EcoSys and track approvals and readiness for project executionCreate and maintain WBS / capital codes in SAP ERP for approved IT capital projectsReview capital white papers and supporting documentation; coordinate clarifications and corrections with Project Managers (PMs)Review and validate DOA requirements and route items for appropriate approvalsEnsure accurate cost tracking against approved budgets and project structures in SAPMaintain and update the IT Capital Tracker for project status, spend, milestones, and timelinesManage capital reporting and invoicing, ensuring alignment with actual project progress and capitalization rulesTrack purchase orders (POs) and capital commitments and ensure timely closure of POs and projects, including closure of open commitments, completion of asset documentation, and clearance of forecast variancesAs required, participate in regular PM sync calls to track milestones, risks, and dependencies and actively follow up to resolve financial or process issuesPerform financial analysis to identify risks, variances, and control gaps and support corrective actionsEnsure compliance with accounting standards, audit requirements, and internal financial controlsIdentify gaps and improvement opportunities in capital processes and support initiatives to simplify, standardize, and strengthen controls

Required Experience & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field8–10+ years of experience in Capital Financial Management, IT Financial Operations, or Project Finance, preferably in large global organizationsStrong hands-on experience with SAP ERP, including WBS creation and maintenance, CapEx tracking, PO and commitment management, asset capitalization, and financial closeExperience with EcoSys or similar capital project intake and governance tools, including WBS request submission and approval workflows, is highly preferredStrong accounting knowledge, especially in capital accounting and asset capitalizationExcellent financial and analytical skills with ability to work with complex datasetsAdvanced Excel skills for data reconciliation, pivot tables, lookups, and variance analysisProven experience collaborating with global teams across multiple regions and time zonesStrong communication and presentation skills with experience supporting leadership and governance discussionsAbility to work independently with minimal training or KT and quickly take ownership of operational responsibilities
