IT Auditor
Job Title: IT Audit SpecialistJob Description

We are seeking a diligent IT Audit Specialist to join our team in Rosemont, IL. This role involves working closely with audit team members, internal clients, and other risk management and compliance functions. The position requires occasional travel to banking and non-banking locations within and outside of the Rosemont area.

ResponsibilitiesActively participate in the successful and timely completion of assigned engagement deliverables.Attend audit team planning meetings and audit kick-off meetings with clients, including drafting relevant meeting minutes.Obtain and review prior year audit work papers and other relevant documents to assist with the effective, efficient, and successful completion of all audit activities.Participate in walkthroughs with relevant business process owners and write narratives and conclusions based on assessments derived from executing walkthrough procedures.Complete assigned audit areas and develop required supporting work papers in a timely manner.Ensure observations of irregularities, discrepancies, and deviations from prescribed procedures and practices are fully supported by relevant evidence and corroborated documented information.Communicate with audit team and audit clients promptly. Keep engagement supervisor and/or audit clients informed as to the status of work.Develop positive working relationships with audit team members, audit clients, and throughout the organization.
Essential SkillsHeavy IT/IS background.Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting Systems, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field of study.1 to 3 years of relevant audit experience in public accounting and/or internal auditing.Applied knowledge of accounting concepts, audit methodologies, and risk-based auditing techniques.Familiarity with The IIA’s International Professional Practices Framework, Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, COBIT, and U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.Experience with or significant interest in technology, cybersecurity, and digital concepts.
Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in utilizing computer-assisted audit tools and techniques such as ACL, IDEA, and internal audit management software like TeamMate.Possession of certifications such as CPA, CISA, or CISSP.Good written communication skills.Prior experience in data analysis.

The position offers a hybrid work environment with three days in the office and two days remote, based in Rosemont, IL. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $59000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
