But more importantly, you work for the good of your career, your family, your community, and your world. **Job Summary)** We are seeking a skilled **IT Analyst Technical Infrastructure (IBM Integrations Developer)** to join our **Applications Development & Intelligence Automation** - **CAT IT Division Team.** The IBM Integrations Developer will design and maintain integrations using IBM DataPower and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE). This role involves working closely with business partners to gather requirements, facilitate testing and debugging, and manage production deployments. The developer will ensure secure, reliable connectivity between internal applications and external partners while maintaining platform health and compliance. The preference for this role is to be based out of **Bangalore – Caterpillar PSN** **What You Will Do:** + Develop integrations using IBM DataPower (MPGW, XML Firewall, API Gateway) and ACE (message flows, ESQL, JavaCompute). + Build secure connections for internal apps and third-party partners (REST, SOAP, MQ, SFTP). + Maintain platforms: apply patches, perform upgrades, monitor health, and optimize performance. + Manage TLS certificate lifecycle: CSRs, imports, renewals, and deployment across environments. + Implement security policies: mTLS, OAuth/JWT, rate limiting, schema validation, and threat protection. + Automate deployments via CI/CD; manage configuration bundles and BAR files. + Troubleshoot issues using logs/traces; ensure SLA compliance and high availability. + Document API specs, integration patterns, and operational runbooks. **What You Will Have:** + Overall 5+ years of experience in IT + 5+ years in IT operations, incident management, or SRE roles. + IBM MQ, OpenShift/Kubernetes, Git, DevSecOps, scripting (Python/Bash). + Serverless API architectures using EventBridge, step functions, lambdas, CDK/terraform/cloud formation (IaC) using Python, GitHub + Migration Strategy: Assess existing on-premises DataPower and ACE workloads and define technical strategies for their migration, modernization, or replacement on the AWS cloud. + Implementation on AWS: Deploy and configure DataPower/ACE Virtual or Container Editions (e.g., in a **Docker/Kubernetes** or **AWS ECS/EKS** environment). + Strong facilitation and communication skills under pressure. + Deep understanding of ITIL incident/problem/change processes. + Experience with ServiceNow Major Incident Management and Notify integrations. + Ability to interpret telemetry and observability data (e.g., OpenTelemetry, synthetic monitoring). + Willing to work in **EAME Shift (1PM to 10PM IST)** + This position requires candidate to work **a 5-day -a -week schedule in the office** **Skills desired:** **Technical Excellence:** Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges. Level Basic Understanding: • Describes the advantages and disadvantages found in commonly used hardware products. • Identifies the main components of IT hardware. • Lists the main hardware vendors and products within the market place. • Cites examples of effective hardware usage within the organization. **Requirements Analysis:** Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project. Level Basic Understanding: • Cites examples of functional and non-functional requirements. • Describes basic concepts and major activities associated with requirements analysis. • Explains the life cycle context and scope of requirements analysis. • Explains the structure and components of effective requirements analysis documents. **System Testing:** Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle. Level Working Knowledge: • Supports the project leader in developing and executing system test plans. • Evaluates system documentation and user manuals for usability, accuracy and completeness. • Executes test cases, analyzes test results and reports on findings regularly. • Tests system components for compliance with functional requirements. • Participates in the testing of a system's ability to recover from hardware or software failures. **Systems Software Infrastructure:** Knowledge of computer architecture and system software interaction; ability to design and build a fundamental architecture of operating systems, database management systems, communications protocols, compilers and other development tools. Level Basic Understanding: • Discusses the inter-relationship between software, hardware and telecommunications. • Lists major software components and problems with the current software environment. • Describes architectural principles, blueprints and standards. • Identifies key aspects of the organization's software infrastructure. **Technical Troubleshooting:** Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation. Level Basic Understanding: • Describes problem identification, reporting and escalation procedures. • Explains the underlying concept of using a systematic approach to solve technical problems. • Identifies available resources and support systems for troubleshooting. • Describes common hardware, software and communication problems; finds ways to resolve issues. **Technical Writing/Documentation:** Knowledge of technical writing; ability to write technical documents such as manuals, reports, guidelines or documents on standards, processes and applications.
