But more importantly, you work for the good of your career, your family, your community, and your world. **Job Summary)** We are seeking a skilled **IT Analyst Technical Infrastructure (AWS Integrations Developer)** to join our **Applications Development & Intelligence Automation** - **CAT IT Division Team.** The AWS Integrations Developer will design and maintain cloud‑based integrations using AWS services while also supporting existing IBM DataPower and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) workloads during a transitional period. This role includes collaborating closely with business partners to gather requirements, facilitate testing and debugging, and manage production deployments across both on‑prem and cloud environments. The developer will lead efforts to modernize and migrate current IBM integration solutions to AWS, ensuring secure, reliable connectivity between internal applications and external partners while upholding platform health, operational resilience, and compliance standards. The preference for this role is to be based out of **Bangalore – Caterpillar PSN** **What You Will Do:** + Develop cloud‑native integrations using AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda (Python), EventBridge, Step Functions, and other serverless components. + Design and implement secure, scalable integration patterns on AWS, including RESTful APIs, event‑driven workflows, asynchronous messaging, and partner connectivity. + Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation and Terraform to provision, version, and automate deployment of integration resources. + Refactor and modernize existing IBM DataPower and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) integrations for migration to AWS, ensuring functional parity and improved resilience. + Support ongoing IBM integration development as needed, including DataPower (MPGW, XML Firewall, API Gateway) and ACE message flows (ESQL, JavaCompute) during the transition period. + Build and manage secure connectivity with internal applications and third‑party services using REST, SOAP, SFTP, MQ, and AWS-native security controls. + Implement security controls such as mTLS, OAuth/JWT, rate limiting, schema validation, WAF rules, and AWS threat‑protection features. + Maintain both cloud and on‑prem integration platforms by applying patches, performing upgrades, monitoring system health, and optimizing performance. + Manage certificate lifecycles across environments, including CSRs, imports, renewals, and automated deployment using AWS Certificate Manager where applicable. + Automate CI/CD pipelines for integration code, IaC templates, and IBM configuration bundles/BAR files to ensure repeatable, compliant deployments. + Troubleshoot integration issues across AWS and IBM platforms using logs, traces, CloudWatch metrics, and application monitoring tools to meet SLAs and ensure high availability. + Document AWS API specifications, integration patterns, migration approaches, and operational runbooks to support consistent implementation and long‑term maintainability. **What You Will Have:** + 7+ years of experience in integration development, cloud engineering, or IT operations roles supporting mission‑critical systems. + Strong hands‑on experience with AWS serverless integration services, including API Gateway, Lambda (Python), EventBridge, Step Functions, and related AWS design patterns + Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and/or AWS CDK for automated deployment and environment provisioning. + Solid Python development skills for building Lambda functions, automation tooling, and AWS integration logic. + Experience assessing, refactoring, and migrating on‑prem IBM DataPower and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) workloads to cloud‑native AWS architectures. + Working knowledge of IBM DataPower (MPGW, XML Firewall, API Gateway) and ACE (message flows, ESQL, JavaCompute) for supporting and transitioning legacy integrations. + Strong understanding of secure integration patterns, including mTLS, OAuth/JWT, rate limiting, schema validation, and threat‑protection controls. + Experience with Git‑based workflows and CI/CD automation using GitHub. + Excellent facilitation, communication, and problem‑solving skills, especially during time‑sensitive or high‑pressure situations. + Deep understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes following ITIL frameworks. + Experience with ServiceNow, including Major Incident Management processes and inbound/outbound integrations. + Willing to work in **EAME Shift (1PM to 10PM IST)** + This position requires candidate to work **a 5-day -a -week schedule in the office** **Skills desired:** **Technical Excellence:** Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
