Job Description:

The Issue Coordinator is responsible to oversee operations of several functions or processes within Fraud Operations.

Depth & Scope:

Responsible for overall Management of a departmental unit within the Collection/Fraud Operations groupManages supervisors with a team of exempt and non-exempt employeesProvides leadership, mentoring, and coaching for assigned units often through subordinate supervisory employeesEstablishes goals and objectives for regular operations and special projects. Develops plans to manage units' operational performance and ensure the achievement of both short and long-term goals and objectives. Oversees completion of goals and objectives and the meeting of deadlines for assigned unitsResearches and resolves issues that cross several areas of operations and other areas of the company. Delegates tasks and authority to enhance performance of assigned units. Promotes innovation and ingenuity in addressing recurring issues. Empowers subordinate supervisors to delegate authority as appropriate to enhance the overall responsiveness and efficiency of the departmentDirectly monitors progress towards goals and project completion. Manages operational communications between internal and external units to ensure issues are resolved. Develops changes in policy or procedure to improve communications between unitsLeads and develops staff to exceed goals - provides guidance and exercises authority concerning personnel issues relative to staffing, appraisals/salary recommendations, promotions and terminationsEvaluates policies for improvement opportunities. Makes recommendations and assists in implementing any approved changesParticipates in bank conversions as they pertain to assigned units. This may include, but is not limited to, assisting in the maintenance of the project plan; ensuring tasks are completed within established guidelines, and assisting in the migration of all functionsEnsures effective compliance with all job-relevant State and Federal regulations, including, but not limited to Employee policies, procedures, CRA EEO/AA, as well as all job relevant Risk Management and Corporate standards. Ensures TD Bank maintains satisfactory audits and exams within all areasDevelops and implements comprehensive strategic plans and provides leadership and corporate vision for areas of responsibility. Contributes to the development of an overall strategic planning process for the unit and participates in the efforts to ensure achievement of division and corporate objectivesImplements changes or reorganization of units to enhance operational performance and create efficiency of operationsAssists in setting operational goals and meeting performance standards


Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree required or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree7+ Years of related experienceOperational management experience specific to the section of operations managed is requiredIn-depth knowledge of principles, practices, policies, and procedures related to the operational areas managed is requiredStrong leadership, delegation, coaching, and mentoring skills are requiredExcellent problem/conflict resolution skills are requiredExcellent written and verbal communications skills are requiredIn-depth knowledge of relevant banking rules and policies is requiredThe ability to balance competing priorities and make sound decisions within, and outside of, established policy is requiredThe ability to develop new policies and procedures in response to and in anticipation of changes in the business environment is required
