**Description** *Lead/Coordinator candidates are responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of their warehouse and Aerotek staff onsite. Candidates will ensure all employees are on time, working efficiently, and safely, monitoring inventory levels and making sure products are handled properly in Order Fulfillment and Shipping Operations. Coordinator or Lead candidates must be filled by someone with experience monitoring, training, managing, and perhaps even experience hiring previous employees and must possess a strong leadership background who can effectively motivate others to work hard and meet company and department goals. Candidates will be expected to learn and execute Aerotek policies as it relates to accident reporting, attendance monitoring, communication with supervisors and Walmart management and communication with Internal Aerotek employees. Candidates will do more management and leadership this year however are still expected to perform standard warehouse duties in 1 of 2 departments generally between order fulfillment (product comes off of trucks onto conveyors) or in Shipping where the loads are quite heavy to stack and stock the outgoing trucks. Candidates must have a proven track record of good attendance (most important) and a desire to learn Team Lead or Supervision; this candidate will be a step up from the typical warehouse associate and therefore must have all the leadership skills necessary for accountability, responsibility and reporting Manage freight flow by moving and unloading freight manually as contract associates will not be operating mobile equipment. Unloaders and loaders in both receiving and shipping will identify, separate, count, combine and scan freight using Warehouse management system terminal, scales and scanners *Candidates will be responsible for handling and processing freight in a safe and cautious manner, tell management about unsafe work conditions and damaged product, and maintain a clean work area. * If moved to loading they will be responsible for specific ways to load trucks as materials come down the conveyor systems or are delivered to them; i.e. heavy products on the bottom and lighter product on the top as their primary duty is material handling. This is a very labor intensive job as they could be off and on the backs of trailers consistently in BOTH roles. *Candidate will enter and locate information on a computer or system communication device , must be able to write documents or reports if needed. *This is primarily a job where they will stay near the dock all day as there isn't a significant amount of walking but there is a lot of lifting and loading **Experience Level** Entry Level **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sutherland, VA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.35 - $27.35/hr.
