Perform engineering design evaluations and concept development across global vehicle programsUse engineering tools and demonstrate CAE groups including Safety Performance to optimally develop the best system solutionAssessment of design to manufacturing processes (e.g. injection molding, vibration welding, vacuum forming, foam-in-place, wrapping) for instrument panels and consolesAssessment of design to manufacturing processes used for IP Structures. Processes include steel & aluminum stamping and extrusion as well as robotic welding, magnesium die casting, and hybrid concepts.Package components and collaborate with other systems within the vehicle (Thermal, Electrical, Body, Chassis, Restraints, etc.)Work multi-functionally to support initial vehicle configuration work, realize cost optimization, deliver customer focused requirements, and implement product and process improvementsBalance business imperatives, including but not limited to cost, mass, complexity, and timingCommunicate information to and from internal and external customer organizations (e.g. Creative Design, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, suppliers) and lead the product development team (PDT)Stay ahead of relevant new technology and driven products

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $54.00 - $56.00/hr.
