As an Investment Governance Portfolio Process and Controls Specialist in the Process Control team, you will play a pivotal role in engaging with stakeholders with reporting requirements and supporting the effective implementation of the DPS governance framework. You will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of financial controls and governance processes, along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address ad-hoc queries effectively.
Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders, including Digital & Platform Services Business Managers & Financial Managers, Product Managers, and both External & Internal Audit & Regulators, to ensure alignment and transparency in portfolio governance.Utilize strong Alteryx, Tableau, and Excel skills to process various reporting processes within the team.Work closely with Planning & Analysis (P&A) teams to ensure that portfolio financials align with P&A control numbers, maintaining accuracy and consistency.Serve as the point of contact for key processes such as Benefits review, Hygiene issues, Monthly Estimate (ME) Forecast, and timesheet status, supporting Investor Day, Mid-Year Forecast (MYF), and Annual Planning.Learn and guide users on Digital & Platform Services processes using in-house tools like myIG, PI, and reporting tools such as Cognos, myDATA, and myDPS.Address any ad-hoc queries from stakeholders in coordination with Line of Business (LoB) Financial & Business Managers (F&BM's).Prepare, consolidate, review, and analyze key financial activities including budget and mid-year forecast, financial updates for the Board, Operating Committee, and Regulators, and analyzing business performance drivers.Execute processes with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness of meeting deliverables on prescribed timetables/calendars.Analyze line of business (LOB) business models, earnings sensitivities, and strategic initiatives to enable better understanding of individual LOB financial results.Lead additional one-off and repeatable analyses as required by senior management.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.Proven experience in investment governance, portfolio management, or a related field.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to articulate complex investment narratives clearly and concisely.Experience with financial controls and alignment processes.Proficiency in using reporting and data analysis tools.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address ad-hoc queries effectively.Previous experience in a Technology finance/planning role in banking or financial services Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel & PowerPoint in particular), Alteryx, and Tableau.Self-starter who is driven to excel in all aspects of their role and seeks to break the status-quo and initiate improvements where necessary.Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
