As a Vice President in Investment Banking Diversified Industries, you’ll have experience developing strong relationships with corporates and financial institution clients and working across different products. You’ll work on deals and transaction across the spectrum of our banking products, including mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, loans, and equity capital and debt capital raises.
Job Responsibilities
Support equity and debt capital raises and sell-side and buy-side M&A (Merger and Acquisition) processesLead transactions including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, other equity capital markets activity, high yield debt issuance, and other debt issuance in the North America diversified industrials spaceAnalyze detailed corporate and financial information and conduct detailed due diligencePerform financial modeling and analysis related to the valuation of companies including discounted cash flow, transaction comparables, public market comparables, leveraged buyout analysis, and public market overviewsCreate pitch books and ideas to present to the clients on potential acquisitions, divestitures, and capital structure alternativesTrain analysts and associatesLead day-to-day client dialogue, idea generation, and transaction executionBuild relationships with key decision-makers at companies in the diversified industrials industry globally. Prospect new clients not covered by the investment bank to expand the coverage universeRequires up to 50% domestic, international travelRequired qualifications, skills, and capabilities
Minimum of four full years of investment banking industry coverage experience post-MBA or minimum of five full years of investment banking industry coverage experience post-undergraduateExceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validityVery strong quantitative and analytical skills (including Excel modelling and valuation work)Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, and have the aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and to develop innovative solutionsAdaptability, able to manage projects independently and be ready to assume a high level of responsibility as a member of a teamAbility to comfortably interact with clients in a professional and mature mannerExcellent understanding of financial, legal and reputational risks facing large integrated investment banks in today's environmentSell-side and buy-side merger and acquisition processesEquity and debt capital raises Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field required
